Navarro Vineyards Methode a l'Anciene 2006 Pinot Noir magnum and 2005 Mendocino Cabernet Sauvignon, magnum. The Pinot Noir is perfumed with cherries, roses and tea, and both cherries and herbs leap out on the palate. Oak is deftly integrated. The Cabernet Sauvignon is a complex blend of dried cherries, eucalyptus, chipotles and dark chocolate; after five years it has the polished patina of fine leather and wood.

# 5 Antique Southwest Persian Tribal (possibly Luri) Shiraz Rug with Apparent Inscription

Central field contains three connected "stepped diamonds with extensions" (thought to represent walled gardens), each containing and surrounded by octagonal tribal devices also found in the primary border. Two white "numeric inscriptions" in the indigo field appear to read 7231. Reversed, they could indicate the Persian date 1327 (ca. 1909). Vegetal-dyed hand-knotted wool pile on wool foundation.
